Welcome to Little Souls Rescue & Sanctuary, a rescue and sanctuary offering safety, care, and compassion to animals in need, serving Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, Bassetlaw, Northamptonshire, and beyond.
At Little Souls Rescue & Sanctuary, every life matters and every story deserves a second chance. We are a registered non-profit CIO, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing sanctuary for guinea pigs, rabbits, stray cats, and kittens.
From the tiniest guinea pig to the most frightened stray kitten, every animal who arrives with us is met with compassion, safety, and lifelong care — a true second chance at life
We are a fully volunteer-run rescue and sanctuary, with no paid staff. This means 100% of every donation goes directly towards animal care.
We receive no external funding or grants and cover the full cost of every veterinary visit, operation, X-ray, vaccination, microchip, and neutering procedure ourselves.
We believe every animal deserves a loving and safe home. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need, while providing lifelong sanctuary for those who require ongoing care.
Alongside our cat rescue and rehoming work, we run a dedicated Guinea Pig Sanctuary for rescued guinea pigs and a Rabbit Sanctuary for rescued rabbits
All rescued cats are cared for in home environments, where they receive warmth, individual attention, and proper socialisation in a loving and secure space. We also provide long-term sanctuary for older cats and those living with health conditions or disabilities, ensuring they are safe, loved, and supported for life.

Over the years, we’ve seen far too many animals in desperate need of help — cases that have brought tears to our eyes and stayed with us forever. Too many animals — too young, too old, too sick, or simply unwanted — are turned away by others. Some cases are too costly or too complicated for others to take on, but we couldn’t stand by and watch them suffer.
What began as helping a few desperate souls grew into a sanctuary built on compassion, dedication, and hope. Every enclosure, every rescue mission, and every life saved is built from the heart and self-funded with love.
